Nightshade Names New Enforcer: The Crimson Veil
In a move that’s left even seasoned bloodcasters rattled, the Nightshade Syndicate has officially named their new enforcer — a figure whispered about only as The Crimson Veil.
The announcement came via blood-sigil, broadcast on mirror shards across seven sectors of the Underveil. Witnesses report the glyph glowed with soulflame before igniting into the new sigil: a fang dripping onto an obsidian blade.
The Crimson Veil is said to have no known origin, no confirmed face, and no voice. Those who cross Nightshade territories and break their ancient trade rites have begun vanishing without trace — only fragments of silver left behind, scorched with ash.
"The Veil is not a person, it’s a consequence," said Nightshade archivist Halveryx, before fading into smoke.
Speculation abounds. Some believe the Veil is not singular but a shifting form inhabited by the minds of former enforcers. Others claim it is a spell given shape, fed on betrayal and bound to the Syndicate’s blood oath.
What’s certain: the streets have grown quiet. And quiet is never good.
